The SLUG IRC channel is intended to be a relaxed place for SLUG participants to discuss matters about FOSS.

There are a number of community members who have ops powers. In the interests of keeping the channel as egalitarian as possible:

• ops powers are to be used very sparingly — only when absolutely necessary
• ops permissions are only to be activated when they are being used (you should be deopped 99.99% of the time)
